Save for a Rainy Day

There are times when I run out of engaging things to do with the little ones.

It's usually when it has been raining for days. And it's cold. This past weekend, there also happened to be a little snow. It's times like these when I might call up a teacher friend for some ideas. (Shout out to Chantell and Sarah!) And here's one I'd like to bookmark.

So simple, yet I always forget about this opportunity that is right under my nose! After a really good scrub down and disinfection, I filled up the kitchen sink with soapy water.

Add some small containers, et voilà!

You would've thought that I'd filled the sink with a bunch of cuddly puppies or cute kittens. I don't mean to brag, but I did get a "You the best mom ever!" (From the two-year-old.)

Oh...the bonus is that you'll inevitably mop the floor right after. You're welcome!
